ABOUT

I am a London-based artist and designer originally from France. After earning my Graphic Design degree at ESAM Caen in Normandy, I spent time in Dresden, Germany where I deepened my understanding and love for languages and cultural exploration. My passion for tracing the roots of aesthetic histories then brought me to Paris, where I pursued a BA in Art Market and Antiques at Université Paris-Est. There, I immersed myself in the rich intersections of art history, under the tutelage of renowned curators and experts. This journey equipped me with a deep understanding of the evolution of styles and techniques across typography, print, design, fabrics, furniture, and crafts.

This archival approach fueled my desire to forge new design realities in dialogue with the rich heritage that has shaped our shared cultural legacy. In 2013, I moved to London, a city that further enriched my design perspective, where I collaborated with a plethora of inspiring professionals, from creative studios to small ethical businesses and cultural grassroots organisations. These projects informed an approach to design nurtured by the integration of nature’s patterns and architectural thinking into a comprehensive narrative.

PROCESS

INTERDISCIPLINARY PROBLEM SOLVING

Drawing inspiration from the psychological and physical realms, my work process investigates the constant interplay between design and art. Standing at the crossroads of the rational and imaginal, thoughtfully weighing the factual and the hypothetical, this approach implies a systemic cross-disciplinary method to problem solving.

SHAPES OF THOUGHTS

I’m interested in decrypting the mediums and systems which have structured humanity’s cultural landscapes and its diverse shapes of thought. My field of research covers topics such as typography, images, colours, patterns, symbols, ornaments, art, technology, music, and architecture. This continuous in-depth exploration enables insights into how these semiotic components, quiet yet steady pillars of our common heritage, articulate and transmute into narratives, conducting a wide spectrum of noticeable and imperceptible stories, ceaselessly inventing new variants of storytelling.

MODULARITY

My speciality is modular design, which enables me to create flexible and scalable systems for a variety of projects. This approach uses independent, interchangeable, and stackable elements to balance playful creativity and freedom with the discipline needed for brand consistency. By distilling a brief's essence and translating it into a dynamic, tailored graphic concept, I ensure each project's uniqueness while maintaining efficient scalability, versatility, and a sense of visual harmony and overall coherence.
PHILOSOPHY

ETHICS

It is crucial that emerging narratives be firmly rooted in ethics. Design, as a primordial vehicle of information in all its forms, holds the power to endorse a careful shift in cultural constructions regarding social purposes and environmental matters. My experience has allowed me to collaborate with thoughtful and compassionate professionals committed to advocating for sustainability, equality, and inclusivity in their ventures, serving as catalysts for the development of a regenerative economy, promoting local craftsmanship, and encouraging surrounding communities to flourish.
My focus is on further exploring media and languages infused with universalism, contributing to the collective imagining of new protocols that uphold our common humanity by prioritising research in psychological welfare and engaging in participatory creative projects that benefit the community.

TIMELESS STORIES

My passion for the arts and their history, strengthened by my education in Art Market and Antiquities, has driven me to develop a strong expertise in archival research. Archives provide the raw material for crafting rich and genuine stories, rooted in the timeless values and experiences of the past.

The cultural significance of archival storytelling lies in its ability to preserve evidence and memory, enabling brands to captivate visually and nurture emotional connections.

By bridging history with contemporary culture, this approach allows brands to generate authentic narratives that deeply resonate with audiences, transcend time, and build legacies, leaving a lasting and meaningful impact.

IMMERSIVE VISUAL CRAFT

My design work is primarily inspired by the rhythmic structures of architecture and the aesthetics of vintage graphics and printed materials from all eras. Approaching each new brief with a beginner’s mind, I enjoy experimenting with bold colours and patterns, dynamic grids, and quirky fonts.
Alongside my freelance graphic design work, I'm currently an apprentice screen printer—a practice that enriches my design approach with added layers of depth, attention to detail, and meticulous craftsmanship. I'm interested in further pushing the boundaries of experimentation, exploring how these combinations can generate even more immersive and surreal visual experiences.
