Comense is a natural cosmetic brand founded by Amelie Delaporte-Digard, an acupuncturist and Chinese medicine practitioner based in Paris's Triangle d’Or. Infused with Eastern wisdom, the products are raw and almost alive, preserving the vitality of the plants from which they are made. Each formula is carefully crafted according to the principles of Chinese Pharmacopoeia, using the finest 100% organic plant and flower extracts, oils and hydrolats, free from added chemicals or preservatives.

The brand’s name references the Cosmos, acknowledging and embracing the mysterious rhythms that shape nature: the infinite cyclical dance of endings and beginnings, of darkness and light.

The wave has long been used as a metaphorical symbol embodying these principles across many cultures, particularly in traditional Japanese art. Hamonshu: A Japanese Book of Wave and Ripple Designs was published in 1903, originally intended to help artisans master the craft of drawing waves and ripples. This publication serves as the conceptual starting point for Comense.

For the logo and as the foundation of the brand’s identity, ripples and waves have been distilled into the simplest and most primordial shape: the circle. These circles oscillate, increasing and decreasing like the frequencies of the colour spectrum.
